On behalf of Allianz OrtungsService, nobisCum has developed an eCall system. As the overall project manager, we have managed and developed the software platform as well as supervised the technical test field of the German automobile manufacturers.

eCall describes an emergency locating system integrated in the vehicle to automatically alert the Public Service Answering Points (PSAPs)in case of a car accident via the EU-wide emergency number 112. In addition to a voice call, a minimum set of data with information about the position and condition of the car will be sent to the PSAP.

According to experts, the use of this system can reduce the arrival time of the rescuer by up to 50 percent.

nobisCum is a member of the European Committee for Standardization expert team- CEN. Within this framework nobisCum participates in the development of data standards for stable transfer of information within the EU eSafety initiative/ WG15 eCall. Furthermore nobisCum participates as an expert in the OPEN ArcEurope Task Force which deals with the development of Third Party services based on the built-in eCall technology for vehicles.
